OBJECTIVES

• The Fugnanbira Community Group Association is a Non-Profit Organization established mainly to assist its community to lead a useful and productive life in their adoptive country.
• Good physical and mental health is something we all value highly for our families, friends and ourselves. We actively promote awareness on health issues.
• Promoting the Fugnanbira Community unique multi ethnic culture and integrate with other communities with similar interest to foster harmony.
• Maintain a good relationship with FB Community around the world and back home.
• The Fugnanbira Community Group Association also helps share experience and skills with local professionals and abroad in the native country of Ethiopia , to help with socio economic development projects, education, environmental development, and water management to fight poverty and improve the quality of life.

PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

Health Awareness:

• Encouraging individuals to lead healthier and safer life style.
• We as an organization can help to achieve the above advances by working together with the community and increasing awareness on health matters. Our awareness programs may be delivered via orientation, booklets, newsletter distributions, audio and video tapes.
• Provide free counseling to quit smoking,
• Promote physical activities and exercises. Healthy eating lifestyle is the integral part of our awareness program.
• Coordinate CPR & First Aid training in collaboration with providing organizations.
• Promote safety awareness such as fire safety.

Information Services

• Provide Orientation and workshops in Trade skills.
• Provide Counseling and information referrals, such as family matters, education, employment, immigration and legal issues.
• Financial counseling, helping families to cope in tough times.
• Publishing quarterly newsletter and report community activities

Social and Cultural Activities

• The Fugnanbira Community Group Association strives to maintain its unique multi cultural values and organizes community gatherings every year.
• Celebrate special events.
• Encourage kids to participate in cultural event activities to have the learning experience.
• Enhancing the physical, social and emotional well-being of youth and families.
• Encourage kids to spend their spare time reading, participate in various sport activities, helping parents and stay safe.
